The community held a pre-planning seminar last Nov. 10 at Q.C. Circle. Attended by the elders, heads of chapters and the different ministries of the community, the activity served as a jumping board for the community's major outreach on December 15 - the SoupER Friends Caravan, which is aimed at feeding and giving gifts to 2,007 children in different parts of Metro Manila. Bro. Rene Tumang facilitated the planning seminar. The planning proper for the community's activities in 2008 will follow shortly. |

The Media Ministry, in an effort to improve content production for the community website and newsletter, held a seminar-workshop on "Basic Writing and Basic Photography" on Oct. 20, 2007. Participants learned practical lessons on news gathering, news writing, and the basics of photography – how to take pictures, what to take, etc. Media ministry members Bro. Max Estayo and Sis. Rose Minas facilitated the activity. |

Rose Minas Inspite of heavy downpour, the Catholic Life in the Spirit Seminar (CLSS) for Batch 9 of FDMC-Pasay pushed through at Paeng’s Restaurant Function Hall, MIA Road, Tambo, Parañaque City last August 18-19, 2007. Braving the rains are 31 candidates who made it to the CLSS and who have discovered the love and divine mercy of Jesus. |

Discernment seminar for FDMC workers |

In a classroom setting at the San Carlos Formation Complex last August 11, 2007, Rev. Fr. Anton C.T. Pascual devoted a whole day seminar on "Personal Discernment of Spirits" as inspired by the teachings of St. Ignatius of Loyola. A total of 65 participants, among them servant leaders and workers of the community, attended the seminar. It was an occasion, as Fr. Anton aptly said, to “learn, un-learn and re-learn.” The session started with a reading from the Gospel of St. Matthew 13, 24-30 – the parable of the wheat and the weeds. As explained by Fr. Anton in the gospel, evil was allowed by God to thrive with the good and be separated at the proper time. The same gospel was cited during the end of the seminar. |
