FDMC-Vietnam started the Divine Mercy on the Block in Saigon on Aug. 21, bringing the DMOBs in Vietnam to four. The community enthroned the image of the Divine Mercy and Mama Mary at 15A/18 Le Than Ton St., Dist 1 in the home of Sis. Judith Nerona, Sis. Mau Dabu and Sis. Mel Ferrer.
The activity started at 8 p.m., with neighbors Sis. Gladys Manuel and Sis. Daria Ortega who are nuns from the Daughters of the Divine Zeal, joining, as well as Sis. Cecille de Castro, who is an engineer.
The community thanked the family who welcomed the image of the Divine Mercy and Mama Mary and everyone in their home. Then the family members introduced themselves. The family was also briefed on the history of the DMOB in Vietnam and the devotion to the Divine Mercy.
Sis. Gladys, who knows how to play the guitar, was the instrumentalist that night. The group sang “I Love You Lord” before the recitation of the chaplet then “Give Thanks” after the prayer.
Present that night were Bro. Don Dawa, Sis. Liezl Dawa, Bro. Arnel Abejo, Sis. Maylene Abejo, Sis. Lisa Gesulga, Sis. Dolly, Sis. Lucy Raymundo, Bro. William Navarro, Bro. Rommel Ballena, Baby Vhanj and Sis. Gladys Ballena, who will for the meantime serve as the coordinator of the area with the help of Sis. Lucy and Bro. William.
The DMOB-Saigon takes place every Thursday. The other DMOB areas are in Airport (Mondays), Phu My Hung (Tuesdays) and An Binh/An Phu-Hoang II (Wednesdays).
