by Sis. Rose Minas Eighty-six participants attended the 8th Kapanalig Life in the Spirit Experience (KLSE) held at Layforce Chapel, San Carlos Formation Complex, Guadalupe, Makati City last October 12, 2008.
Participants of KLSE Batch 8 as they sing and dance for the Lord.
The monthly seminar, a joint project of Radio Veritas and Friends of the Divine Mercy, started last March 2008 with Rev. Fr. Anton Pascual, chief operating officer of Radio Veritas and Bro. Rene Tumang, director/adviser of FRIENDS, at the helm. The program encourages all Kapanalig listeners of Radio Veritas, Charismatic groups and Church-based organizations to rediscover, renew their faith and experience the life in the Spirit.
The just concluded KLSE was the last for the year.
Sixty-two percent of the participants were Kapanalig listeners; the rest came from various chapters of Friends of the Divine Mercy.
Sis. Honey Jardinico-Oasan served as moderator, did the opening prayer and welcomed the participants to the one-day seminar. Bro. Frank Moueltre led the singing of joyful songs.
Bro. Rene discussed Praise and Worship; Fr. Ric Torrefiel, God's Love; Bro. Lito Dawa, Salvation; and Sis. Belle Fabian, New Life.
Each participant was given a piece of paper to write down his/her prayer intentions the community would pray for. Afterwhich, Bro. Louie Zapata of the Loved Flock Charismatic Community talked on Receiving God’s Gift and Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Bro. Bot Balbero delivered Growth and Transformation, challenging each participant to grow and be transformed by the Spirit.
Rev. Fr. Anton Pascual celebrated the Holy Mass. Members of the first batch of "Kaakbay Kapanalig" Caregivers of Radio Veritas joined in the Eucharistic celebration.
After the seminar, Bro. Rene invited the participants to be part of the various missions of the Friends of the Divine Mercy, to be active members of their parishes or their charismatic groups, and to watch the upcoming "Friends in Concert" on Nov. 8 at St. Jude Catholic School, San Miguel, Manila and on Nov. 23 at San Carlos Seminary Auditorium.
The singing of the Friends of the Divine Mercy community song closed the activity. |
