The Young Friends in Action’s 11th YPM was held last September 20, 2009 at Session Room 1, San Carlos Seminary.
After the usual 3 p.m. prayer and chaplet, the activity formally started with a game in the style of “Pinoy Henyo” facilitated by Bro. Frank Moultre with trivia related to Mama Mary. It was followed by a joyful song and dance led by Sis. Apple Ortega, and the gospel reading by Bro. Darren del Rosario. Then Sis. Adie del Rosario gave a short insight before she led the members to a spirit- filled and powerful praise and worship.
The youths were divided into groups as part of their interaction, with chapter and ministry heads as facilitators. They discussed all about "Acceptance," that to attain peace in our lives, we must be willing to practice its three aspects namely: acceptance of others, acceptance of self and acceptance of God’s will for us.
The youths had writing activities and reality checks aside from sharing personal experiences, making the groupings enjoyable and memorable.
Before the gathering ended, birthday celebrants for this month were greeted. Then Bro. Lito Dawa gave a short inspirational message, which challenged each and every member to serve Christ with great passion, love and joy as they are going to be the future leaders of the community.
Sis. Jelaine Austria served as the moderator.
