FDM-Bacolod, under the coordination of Sis. Rosamie Azuro and Sis. Miles Maquiling, hosted a Divine Mercy propagation seminar last May 17 at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Seminary of Lupit Church.
The speaker of the whole-day seminar was Sis. Monina Tayamen, president of the Divine Mercy Association of the Philippines (DMAP). Eighty participants came in for the seminar, including Fr. Ponce and Fr. Mike Carreon, spiritual directors for the Diocese of Bacolod; Sis. Virgie Lopo, Diocese of Bacolod representative for Divine Mercy, and members of the Apostolate of Divine Mercy. Sis. Monina divided the lecture into three: a) history of the Divine Mercy; b) meaning of "trust" and "mercy"; and c) the elements of the Divine Mercy.
After the lecture, Sis. Dina Balicanot relaunched the Divine Mercy on the Block (DMOB). She shared the history of the DMOB and the countless miracles and healings experienced, and witnessing of faith by households that encountered the Lord and His Divine Mercy.
The DMOB Murcia cluster, headed by Bro. Arnold Delio, witnessed how the Divine Mercy worked in the lives of Sis. Rosita Sacdalan, Sis. Alma Gavilaga and Sis. Sherly Alit. They shared how the Lord blessed and provided their needs, touched their lives and healed them and their family. They found hope, love and faith in the Divine Mercy.
Sis. Dina and Sis. Miles called on the different clusterheads for a meeting and explained the mechanics of the DMOB. DMOB - Bacolod, Silay, Murcia and Manapla were re-formed.
Treasures at Bacolod will now be celebrated every second week of the month, to serve as gathering and fellowship of all DMOB clusters and devotees with their family and friends. The first Treasures will be on June 14, 2009.
