We Are Not Alone

Jn. 15:16-16:4

I
n John 14, the Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit is our Comforter, Counselor, will be with us forever, lives in us, teaches us all things and reminds us of all that Christ has taught us.

Moreover, in Romans 8, it teaches us that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us and helps us in our weakness.

Such are just some of the roles – there are a lot more – of the Holy Spirit in our lives. And we are just so blessed that Jesus specially thought of sending us such an important gift.

We do not need the world to give us comfort when we are upset and in distress. We do not need to spend much, seeking professional help when there seems to be no solutions to our troubles.  We should not fear facing life alone and journeying to an unknown future. We should not become anxious and worried when we seem not to understand what we are going through.

Take heart, friends, and be glad! We are not alone.  We have the Holy Spirit whom God has sent us to be our partner in getting through this life; in victoriously fulfilling the tasks we are specially called for.

Therefore, let’s allow God through the Holy Spirit to continue His work in us – creating, speaking, transforming us; living within us; and working in us.

Prayer:

Lord, may the Holy Spirit fill us and bring us to peace in You. May we trust more in His guidance, for He is Christ s presence in us and assurance of His love for us. Amen.
