W hile browsing the Internet, I came across a site that wrote an inspiring quote of St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina: “It is true that God’s power triumphs over everything, but humble and suffering prayer prevails over God Himself.” Truly, God wants us to continuously communicate with Him. He may know the desires of our hearts, but He also wants us to translate all these desires into prayers.
In our Gospel, the Lord inspires us that when we ask, we shall receive; when we seek, we shall find; and when we knock, a door shall be opened for us. God assures us that when we pray, He will answer.
Most of the time, God answers our prayers beyond what we expect. He always gives what is best for us, just like a father who will never give stone to his son who asks for bread. Friends, it is written in Phil. 4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be known to God.”
Is there something in our hearts that we always long for? Do we have a friend who needs our intercession? Do we have questions that we seek for answers?
Let us relay everything to our Father. He is more than excited to listen to the yearnings of our hearts. Let us find time to talk to Him. And when He answers, let us never fail to praise and thank Him.
Prayer:
Father God, thank You for Your unfailing love. May we always take every opportunity to unite with You in prayers. Bless our hearts with steadfast faith in You. Amen. |
