Dt. 6:20-25: “Later on, when your son asks you what these ordinances, statutes and decrees mean which the Lord, our God, has enjoined on you, you shall say to your son, 'We were once slaves of Pharaoh in Egypt, but the Lord brought us out of Egypt with his strong hand and wrought before our eyes signs and wonders, great and dire, against Egypt and against Pharaoh and his whole house.  He brought us from there to lead to our fathers, and give it to us.' Therefore, the Lord commanded us to observe all these statutes in fear of the Lord, our God that we may always have as prosperous and happy a life as we have today; and our justice before the Lord, our God, is to consist in carefully observing all these commandments he has enjoined in us.”

Children are basically inquisitive.  They ask a lot of questions.  So when our children ask to be enlightened, we should tell God’s goodness .  Lead them to Christ and be an example for them. Likewise, we should explain, not only to children but adults alike, especially to those who are far from God.

Acts 18:9-10: “One night in a vision, the Lord said to Paul, 'Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent,  For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.'”

Sometimes, we do fear.  But it says, we should not be afraid. As a speaker, and I know this is true for the rest, we pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit every time we prepare for a talk.  For only in God we trust.

Jer.1:6-8: “'Ah, Lord God!’ I said, 'I know not how to speak I am too young.'  But the Lord answered me,  say not, 'I am too young.'  To whomever I send you shall go; whatever commanded you, you shall speak,  Have no fear before them, because I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord.'”

Jeremiah was very young.  He acknowledged his youth and inability to speak.  But he was comforted and assured by God that He will be with him.

Our life is a story by itself.  We are called, sanctified and chosen by God to a specific ministry.  He calls us to salvation, discipleship and ministry.

The story of God has no ending.  It is when we tell stories about God that we become good story-tellers.

     Stories to tell:

     1.  Tell the story of God’s kindness.  Lk. 6:35 – “ ... for He Himself is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.”

     2. Tell the story of God’s love.  Zep. 3:17 – “The Lord your God is with you.  He is mighty to save.  He will take great delight in you.  He will quiet you with His love.  He will rejoice over you with singing."

    3. Tell the story of God’s mercy.  Titus 3:5 – “... not because of any righteous deeds we had done but because of His mercy, He saved us through the bath of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.”

    4. Tell the story of God’s grace.  Eph. 1:6 – “ ... for the praise of the glory of His grace that He granted us in the beloved.”

Preach the Gospel beyond your own territory.  For Christ’s sake, go out and share the Gospel for a lot of people are dying without Christ and your duty is to share the Gospel.
