Bro. Rene Tumang Nov. 11, 2009 You are how you feel about yourself, how high in life we are likely to rise: How we feel about ourselves crucially affects virtually every aspect of our experience from the way we function at work, in love, in service to our community. Our responses to the happenings in our everyday life are shaped by who and what we think we are or what we are going to be. Gratitude: When we express gratitude, we affirm the heart of others and build our own faith and joy.
If the only prayer you've said in your whole life was “thank you,” that would suffice.
Ps. 50:23: "Those people honor me who bring the offerings to show thanks. And I, your God, will save those who do that."
Mt. 10:40 "Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me. Whoever receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and whoever receives a righteous man because he is a righteous will receive a righteous man's reward. And whoever gives only a cup of water to the one of these little one's to drink because he is a disciple, Amen I say to you, he will surely not lose his reward."
Dressing is an art as well as serving and loving:
To feel beautiful, you have to transcend the physical aspects whether it's your face, or hair or body. Total beauty is eloquent and speaks in language of its own. Its rhythm expresses itself in your disposition. Educate the mind:
The hygiene of a peaceful mind -
1. Stop wasting mental energy, thinking twice over, avoid self-criticism and rid the self of diffidence (shyness, lack of self-confidence).
2. Stand outside yourself to assess all your actions. Be objective, create harmony in dealing with people, community and your surroundings.
3. Fill your leisure hours with relaxing hobbies.
4. Control your thoughts by the practice of concentration.
5. Avoid stress. Be consistent:
Inconsistency will kill your energy and move you away from fulfilling your ambition.
Write your programs, plans, dreams in your heart with excitement and do it right away.
Always assess your actions and improvements.
