We are Called to Serve One Another

Many of us want to learn,  isn’t it?  Do you agree that we are in a university?  This is our university.  We come here to learn.  And that is the new thrust of our community – “Educating the Young and Building Caring Communities.”  We will start with our youth and send them to high school and college this June.  The elementary students, on the other hand, will have their school supplies.  We not only build communities, we build caring communities.  The members are those that really serve and love.

As a caring community, we are called to serve one another.  You have heard from some members  say that in serving, we should not look up to the leader or person but only to God whom we serve.  But that is not wholly true.  In Rom. 15:7,  we read: "It can only be to God’s glory, then, for you to treat each other in the same friendly way as Christ treated you..."

Do you know how Jesus served?  He served with love and care and to Him every one is important.  Like Jesus, we should love one another.  Just like what Mother Teresa said, “... anything not good done to man is wrong...”

Who among here are accountants? Teachers?  We should be truthful in our dealings and with God.  In everything we do, let our service be done rightfully and with love  - whether we are preparing food for others or for our very own family.  Those who work should rightfully do likewise.  And when you are doing what is asked of you, do better than what is expected of you, and more.

Rom. 12:13 says, "Contribute to the needs of your neighbor, exercise hospitality, be concerned for what is noble in the sight of all."

All of us are accountable for what was given to us by God.  Serve with your gifts, talents and treasures with a compassionate heart.  We should learn to share according to what God has given us.

Mt. 22:39 says, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."  We are to serve the way we love ourselves.

Exercise, serve and love with the characteristics of Christ’s apostles (fishermen).  They were dedicated, patient, humble, courageous and hardworking.   Matiyaga, mapagpasensiya, mapagkumbaba, matapang at masipag

These are the qualities of a good servant of God.  Continue to study the Word of God.  Do not worry, unstoppable blessings will come your way.
