    Inspite of heavy downpour, the Catholic Life in the Spirit Seminar (CLSS) for Batch 9 of FDMC-Pasay pushed through at Paeng’s Restaurant Function Hall, MIA Road, Tambo, Parañaque City last August 18-19, 2007. Braving the rains are 31 candidates who made it to the CLSS and who have discovered the love and divine mercy of Jesus.

    Bro. George Bersabe did the introduction on what the seminar is all about. He also taught the ways of praising and worshiping God and led them into singing a praise and worship prayer. Sis. Belle Fabian shared about her moving and touching experience of God’s love, while our in-house speaker Sis. Dina Balicanot talked about the topic on Salvation. FDMC-Pasay homegrown speaker and sharer Bro. Bimbo Tecson shared his new life with the Lord. A grouping and confession capped day 1 of the seminar.

    With improved weather on day 2 of the seminar, a more joyful spirit filled the air as Bro. John Gabe talked about Receiving God’s Gift followed by laying of hands for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. The ever reliable and prolific speaker Bro. Bot Balbero talked about the topic on Growth and Transformation as he concluded his talk with a joyful song “Umawit Ka “.

    Sis. Dina came back as she expounded on the Devotion of the Divine Mercy, its history and elements of devotion. She also introduced the community-- its mission, vision, and various activities.

    The participants were commissioned to be the light of the world and salt of the earth by Rev. Fr. Albert Adison after the Holy Mass. Each participant received a certificate of attendance, rosary, chaplet and scapular. Part of their graduation kit is the batch directory and batch picture.
