More Important Than Arguments |

H ave you ever had the opportunity of arguing with a lawyer or a law student perhaps? If you are not a lawyer yourself, chances are, you did not enjoy the actual exercise of exchanging views. No offense meant, but lawyers were raised and trained to win an argument no matter how or what. Thus, if you don't have the same skills, you are likely to just prematurely concede; not for lack of argument, but for this mindset. It's a waste of time, these lawyers will never let you win, anyway. Period.
True to form, the Pharisees in the Gospel, being professional students of the law, were all set to pin down Jesus, asking Him so many questions on what is lawful and what is not. Calling the attention of people to the law was the Pharisees' high calling in life.
